There has been enough information, videos, pictures and tape recordings of this President and his Administration's activities to probably impeach him and certainly enough to cause him to resign. I won’t bother detailing much about what specifically I am referring to, many people who are interested in the subject, have done their own research and have come to the same conclusion I have, and that is we may have a rogue President.

Richard Nixon and Watergate was a very traumatic and chaotic time in America. The Democrats and the press were all over the story, holding hearings and investigating the true nature of what had happened. The same thing happened in the Iran-Contra affair. The Democrats and the press had a field day trying to convict President Reagan’s Administration of wrong doings. But look at what is happening all around us today. There is enough political chicanery and connections to people who wish ill will on our style of government to warrant much more of an investigation than at any time in recent history, yet hardly a word is printed or reported about this activity outside of a few conservative circles. Instead, many people are laughing or mocking at the insinuations and reports that are being made, especially those who traditionally hate the right or conservative venues.

I do believe the American people are beginning to wise up and get the word. They can read the internet, blogs, talk radio and of course watch responsible reporting by the Fox News Network and the very brave Glenn Beck. A lot of terrifying information has been presented in recent weeks on his Fox show. Most of which is backed up with video and recordings, or input by witnesses or people of direct knowledge of one kind or another, but to be a skeptic of what he is presenting is to be downright ignorant. I am a believer that people hangout with, associate and promote people and activities to which they are in agreement with. That is why when early information was presented about Barack Obama and his checkered past was presented by some circles and people before the election, I began to suspicion something bad about his background. The more I looked into it, the more I was convinced that his election would be bad for America.

On several occasions, I tried to alert friends, relatives and neighbors on my feelings and what was being reported about Barack Obama, but on several occasions I was rebuked. Oh, they said I was listening to the wrong things on radio, or listening to racially prejudiced people or that information on the internet is notoriously biased or downright lies. I probably lost some acquaintances or friends over the subject, but many now are beginning to see what I saw early. People are beginning to get a sense that Barack Obama may be up to some sinister motive from the White House. Such dangerous thoughts frighten me, and I know they are frightening to countless other Americans, many who are reacting to the situation. The Tea Parties are an example of people’s reaction, although I am afraid there many others who have more violent motives in mind.

This is a dangerous and frightening time for America. I dare say, more than at any time since possibly the exception of the big World Wars or even possibly September 11th. I don’t want to diminish those big events that placed America in danger, but I would argue that Watergate was nothing compared to what I am seeing right now in America. During Watergate, the Republicans got on board with the Democrats to start condemning Richard Nixon, to the point that Nixon finally did the right thing and resigned from the Office of the Presidency or face the impeachment he deserved. And what exactly did they establish or suspect that he did, yes I know they said it was about a two-bit burglary, but much more sinister was the cover up and the political shenanigans that were taking place around the cover-up. President Nixon and his political shenanigans were very threatening to our Democracy, but President Nixon had the decency to resign from his office before he took the country through the pain of impeachment.

I have been reading on the internet that people are starting to call for the impeachment of President Obama, a useless, but worthy endeavor. President Obama, it has been said, has an iron motive and steadfast personality, similar to the negative connotations they gave to President Bush and his changeless policy over a number of years, so I don’t believe he will resign, or change his ways. I think we have a President that will use his power in every way possible to keep his own power, and also keep his power base intact in the government and Congress. I think we are just now beginning to see what a Chicago based Community Organizer out of the Saul Alinsky School for radicals can do. President Nixon had a fairly good approval rating in the high 60s that starting dropping to a low of 22 to 20 just before he resigned. President Obama has started in the high 60s, and is now headed for the low 40s, so if this keeps up, by the next election he should be in the low 20s or lower.

It is my wish that he would resign now, except I am just as fearful or maybe even more so with the qualifications of his replacement. But for the good of the country, and our Constitution, I do wish he would resign now. Recently, Glenn Beck has presented several points we should be asking perspective politicians wishing our vote in the forthcoming 2010 election. I won’t enumerate them here, but anyone can review them on his website. I wish he would add one more question to ask those candidates for Congress in 2010, and that is would they support a call for the impeachment of President Obama, and the grounds based on what I have heard so far is circumventing the Constitution and laws of the United States and activities treasonous to our Country. So, in a nut shell, I believe the road ahead for America is very dangerous and not only is our country in trouble due to the policies of this President, but our Country is very much in danger from his radical political philosophy and beliefs, and believe he has appointed people to high places in the Executive Branch that represent a threat and danger to the country.

The Road to Socialism

Excerpted from the 'The Road to Socialism' official document of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA):

The 28th National Convention of the Communist Party USA in Chicago, Illinois adopted this Program on July 2, 2005. What I really mean to say is, I don’t care for what they stand for, their policies or their actions. Frankly, I am just fed up with the whole mess of them. I could have predicted we would end up where we are today. They have been bold in their efforts to socialize America, but is that any surprise? I am really against this takeover of the American economy. So does that make me un-American? If you read this, and you disagree with me, and agree with the other side of these issues, then report me. Does that make you a patriotic American?

Think about this equation for a moment. This President won the election, true. He has a substantial number of people who voted for him, and a substantial number of people who still support him and his policies. During the campaign and just after the election I noticed huge numbers of cars proudly displaying the Obama bumper sticker, now I still see them, only in substantially less numbers. That’s my own little poll of just how popular Obama is or was.

The President, who campaigned on a promise to bring change to America, was mistakenly taken at his word. Some people thought he meant that change would be a different way of doing things. Instead, we get not more politics of the same nature, but more intensive division, hatred, and partisanship. We have been told the right is the only side that practices division, but as I have known all along, the true hatred and division is practiced by the side that wants to totally change America’s system to one that has proven itself not to work, and can only be in power through force and intimidation. Does that sound like something you want?

The left would like you to believe that only a true compassionate liberal can practice liberty American style. My position is, only true compassion comes from the position that keeps America free with our present constitution. We believe that anyone who calls our military protectors of freedom, killers and raiders, who tries to divide America into two camps, one trying to defend her from a socialist takeover and the other trying to make a ‘socialist utopia’ at all costs, and one that promotes killing of human fetuses, killing an economy and burying us under tons of debt and taxation, are true un-Americans and I dare say unpatriotic. So I say to Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer, Harry Reid and Barack Obama, you are not only wrong, you have problems with America and your positions are to me un-American.

So I guess I will end up on some flag-list in the White House. A flag-list of un-patriotic Americans that are practicing their first amendment rights of free speech. What’s next, the goo lag?

Why are people protesting?

The left have been famous for all their protests over the years, from the 60s antiwar days, through Nixon and Watergate, to Bush and Iraq. They have manned their signs, and made their displeasure known. They have become experts at expressing their First Amendment Rights, but let the left be the brunt of the protests, and they start screaming foul right away. The Obama Administration seems to be getting frustrated with being the subject of protests, so much that he is asking for his minions to report people to the White House. Why? Is the White House afraid of people expressing their Constitutional Rights? Is the White House collecting the names of protesters (which would be illegal)?

The left is famous for trying to dissuade people on the right from speaking out. They have tried to describe anyone protesting on the right as being nut cases, wing nuts, and even when they themselves are reluctant to call Islamic radicals terrorists, they have described Americans who do not accept their every whim, proposal and idea as being homeland terrorists. Why? This is an effort to shut down opposition for their plan.

Underway right now in America, is a movement by the powers in place to change the fundamental structure of our system. From one of constitutional republic with free-markets and free-peoples to one of an authoritarian socialist oligarchy, controlled by an non-elected powerful handful of socialist elites. Obama has already placed the skeletal framework around the Executive Branch in the form of unelected, but appointed Czars of every description. For what purpose? To make policy and setup the future government or establish the next system? We don't know, and we are scared to death of what might be in store for us.

This is why people are scared to death. Americans cherish their freedoms, and don't want them jeopardized or infringed upon. They love having choice and being free to make the choices they desire. It is the basic reason people are not accepting Obama's health care plan, cash for clunkers program and a number of other programs he has put in place. The President elected with a huge popular mandate has gone from one who could have gotten anything passed by this legislature to one viewed with suspicion and duplicity. First, he broke almost all of his campaign promises (no lobbyists, openness, non partisanship, innovator of change, and tax cutter for the middle class) to one of being a bitter partisan, who tries to lay every wrong on his predisessor who has subjugated the process with all these Czars, has put America on the path to financial ruin and now appears will have to increase middle-class taxes to keep the Chinese money coming in.

Americans of all stripes are getting scared, and now this huge takeover of their health care system has them frightened to the point they are beginning to resist one of the most popular Presidents who has had the wind at his back for most of his early proposals.

Obama, Democrats & Progressives: Mad As Hell & They Ain't Go'nna Take It!

The democrats pushing Obama's healthcare debacle seemingly ran into a major roadblock on their way to imposing their plan. They have already started their August 'healthcare campaign' of disinformation and demonization.

Notice how they decided the bad people are the insurance companies and you, if you disagree with them. Watch them as they appeal to the greed in people who unknowingly fall for the fluff being presented as healthcare reform: They will say you will not experience problems with their system or lose your existing coverage, it will be just like Medicare, you will have no out-of-pocket costs, there will be no rationing, no co-pays, etc. with their plan. They are even reluctant to tell you their ultimate goal is the single payer plan, because they know you do not want a government-run system. They want you to believe the bad guys are the mean old, greedy insurance companies, who are profit driven. They believe they can take the profits out and use those costs for their plan. They forget that profits are what fund research and development, new drugs and procedures.

They want you to believe all this noise against their plan is an orchestrated, right-wing, extremist and insurance company effort to dissuade their honest efforts to reform our system. They will deamonize it as just more tea-bagging by extremists.

Folks, they are made as hell and they don't plan on taking it or this thing going away without a down in the dirt, fight to the end. They are not to be or will they be dissuaded from their efforts to get this total healthcare overhaul in place. They think it is within their reach now, and believe they will not have this opportunity again, possibly never again. This is the ultimate left-wing, socialist dream. This is next to global warming in their zealot driven, warm and fuzzy feeling hearts. National healthcare – single payer program and the global warming environmental cabal are their biggest programs and weapons for a total Socialist America. Just listen to them and what they are saying. It is the same message they have been giving off for years and years, only now their incremental creep towards a socialist state has developed into a full gallop.

The democrats have used the same old play book year after year, campaign after campaign. They are as predictable as night and day. They won't tell you the program they are planning to heave upon you will result in all the private carriers going away, all the employer-sponsored health plans ending, costs rising for your healthcare, but don't worry the government is on the job and will pick up your tab no matter what. They won't tell you that by adding people to the free, public healthcare system will decrease care (government board), rationed care (less doctors, specialists, and medical providers) trying to serve more and more people, including illegal residents. Costs will rise, resulting in lower quality care, less more restrictive care. Just research how more people actually die from heart disease and cancer in Canada, France and Great Britain under their public health programs. The truth about these government run systems is getting out, and the truth is not pretty.

They will cite many statistics, how America ranks 37th amongst developed countries in death rates. They will try and pin this death rate on our healthcare system. They won’t break those statistics down for you or give you the details. They won’t tell you how these statistics include deaths from all causes, including traffic accidents, homicides, wars and every other cause of death. They won’t tell you how we have the best system of healthcare (practitioners, research, availability, new techniques and lowest death rates for the biggest killers of heart disease and cancer). Sure, we have problems. This is a massive system, and it’s bound to have problems. Let’s solve the problems we have, and not throw the baby out with the bath water.

Research and development of new medical procedures and drugs will slow and become non-existent under their plan, why? Because now under a free-market, profit driven system, professionals in the field are researching and developing new medicines and procedures because of two primary reasons: (1) They will be rewarded for developing them and, (2) There is money being directed towards these through funding by the insurance carriers. The current public systems of Medicare, Medicaid and veteran programs are simply too strapped for cash to do much research. There is no incentive to develop new procedures and drugs, and the amount of payments provided for each patients disease or problem is too restricted to provide any extra money for such research and development, which causes the cost of research and development to fall upon the insured. This, and other government restrictions and requirements not placed on the public systems, causes the cost of insurance to go higher and higher.

No one can argue the free-market health insurance market does need some common sense reforms. We don't need a hatchet, but maybe a scalpel is more the tools needed. We need to come up with something that provides for people to maintain their coverage when they lose their job or change jobs. They need some protection against discrimination and un-insurability. They need a totally free-market, unrestricted by state lines and individual state restrictions. Some protection needs to be afforded professionals in the medical field against unreasonable lawsuits (tort reform). If reforms in just these areas were accomplished, we would see a dramatic difference in the cost and availability of health insurance.

Why is this not being looked at, instead of a complete over-haul and destruction of our current system? The simple answer is 'power' and 'control'. Conservatives have always, accurately maintained this is one of the drivers behind most liberal programs. Whether or not taxes need to be raised, and undoubtedly they would have to be dramatic tax increases under the current proposals. More taxes, means more government control and more government control means loss of individual choice, freedom and a ever more bigger and bigger government largesse, which will demand more and more of your tax money year-after year. The democrats want this because it increases their control, their voter base and another entitlement which they can claim is your benefit provided by a benevolent government.

The left is in political charge in Washington. The were put in place by an ill informed, disengaged public, who were victims of a one-sided, left-wing media who failed to do their job of informing the public. The public is now getting engaged, and people are making themselves aware of what is going on: a complete socialist takeover of America by a 'Community Organizer in Chief.' The people are about to find out what can happen in an 'almost instantaneous' moment of inattention to their precious freedoms. We are endangered, and a full blown headon collision is about to occur in America. The hate filled left meets the challenge of freedom loving people from all walks of life. Not just right-wingers, but from independants and even some just to the left of center who cherish their freedoms.

This in essence is the 60s anti-war and post 60s radicals meeting up with middle America in a battle for control of the country. Somehow, someway they got elected and they are in charge of the agenda and the agenda is their only mission right now. People who have never before been engaged in demostrations against their government are finding it necessary to get up off the couch, put together signs and other elements of protest and hit the streets. The summer of 2009 is proving to be a summer like others this country has faced, and hopefully we can get past this headon collision without any incidents of violence, but I think we are in for some tough times ahead.

Demoracy in Peril: Oligarchy by default

If previous political theories and hypothesis are correct, and I believe they tend to be correct, then our current Administration led by President Obama has led us through populism to the ‘Iron Law of Oligarchy.’ This simply means that our experiment with a democratic system of government, operated in the form of a ‘Republic’ is over. With the appointment of over 32 Czars in the Executive Branch, and the changes envisioned in the Supreme Court, we have now exploded past anything our ‘Founding Fathers’ ever envisioned in this country. What is next? As I see it, we face nothing but fascism around the corner.

By electing the first truly Marxist President, who campaigned on the populist notion that wealth in America was unequally and unfairly distributed, has knowingly or unknowingly brought us to a form of government never before broached in America. President Obama may be have been duped, just like President Bush was duped, into thinking the only solution to America’s problems were to place control of America in the hands of a few powerful people. In this case, he has given and wants to give more and more control to the Treasury Department, the FED and 32 Czars, who now control more of our lives than at any time in history. Czars do not require Congressional approval, so they are at will to circumvent the rule of law or any control placed on them by the Congress. The people, by electing a Congress that has been willing to empower the President and his appointed Czars, has merely handed more power and control, concentrated in the hands of the Executive Branch of government.

To help bolster the forthcoming ‘Iron Law of Oligarchy,’ the Supreme Court will be stacked with like minded individuals who do not believe in the ‘rule of law,’ but in the humanistic approach of deciding decisions based on group feelings and artificial ethnic standards. The appointment of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court is the crowning achievement of this policy. Future appointments will only bolster this approach to our future system.

We are in the beginning stages of plowing under our republican form of democracy, and now have installed a Marxist regime, well on its way of going through the interim stages a socialist oligarchy and onto fascism. The end result of course will be a communistic form of government, where our constitution will be thrown under, in favor of all things for the elites, who will try and convince the masses of how well they are doing for us. This will be control of every facet of our lives, from what kind of light bulbs we use, how much we earn on any given job, to how many people work in a given industry, to what industries operate and produce, to the kinds of cars (if any) we drive. There is no plan for individualism, it will be gone. Cap and trade legislation, healthcare by government and complete control are the next stages of this process. Folks, the grand experiment will be gone, and your liberties with it. Act now, or face the inevitable.

Under the present policies, high unemployment, reduced value of your dollar and high inflation are just around the corner. With it will come more relinquishing of rights and liberties, along with more concentration of power in the few, such as government, a few powerful Wall Street Corporations, Unions and corrupt organizations such as ACORN. Up until now, your passiveness and lack of involvement has given the green light to this course of action. It is now time to wake up, step up and state your objection to this massive overthrow of a democratic system of government underway. We are not the only western democracy under assault. The entire western-world is being assaulted in this same way. First, America will fall, then the rest of the democracies and like a row of dominoes, we all fall victim to a world gone mad.

OBAMA: The Great Statesman

During the presidential campaign, all the Obama supporters touted his great skills as a President that would return the USA to greater status in the world than former President George W. Bush. President Obama and many of his supporters claimed during the campaign that President Bush had wrecked foreign policy. The truth is, now that President Obama has entered the stage as our leader, he has double-crossed Israel, by telling them they can't defend themselves, has capitulated with the Muslim world, praised dictators and tyrants in Venezuela and Cuba, and has attempted to re-establish power for a socialist who decried his own constitution in Honduras. He has gone on alleged diplomatic junkets for the primary purpose of apologizing for his view that America has committed atrocities all over the world, and every country is owed an apology.

He recently went to Russia, where he throws our country overboard in a dangerous and threatening world by starting new defense reductions where we already hold a strategic advantage, but Obama wants to even the playing field. Watch Obama throw out the Strategic Defense Initiative.

I believe President Obama is trying to reduce America to a third-rate, third-world mediocre country.

Democrats: Are they beginning to panic?

The Really Big Show in Washington

Democrats are running the show in Washington these days, and it seems that everybody in the country is very unhappy with the show’s performance so far. Notice how some of the leaders are starting to unravel, and beginning to throw out little panic statements: Vice President Joe Biden admits they misread the economy, which indirectly is an admission they did the wrong things to help the economy. As unemployment worsened, they admit that only about 10% of their spending solution has been applied, and now are in a panic to get more of the spending out. So, a porker of a stimulus package is going to put on steroids and doled out faster, and that’s supposed to be the solution. What are they going to do, they wanted the states to spend the money as quickly as possible, but the states are in such bad shape financially, all they seem to be doing is baling water to save themselves. It’s not clear the states are in a position to even spend more money. You know the old saw, ‘it takes money to make money’ in this case it takes money to spend money; so are the states in a position to even spend the stimulus money. A good portion of the porker-stimulus was for social mandates and programs, feel-good projects and make-do jobs, so it is quite clear to me, the Congressional dole-out was not going to do the job anyway.

A lot of the people’s time and sweat in the form hard-earned dollars was earmarked in the stimulus package. A package of goodies, that the Democrats solely own now, is supposed to be out in the neighborhoods and countryside putting people back into jobs, yet the folks and businesses are failing left and right. People have lost their homes or in the process of losing their American dream and the leaders in Washington have punted. The Democrat controlled Congress, who did not even bother to read their handy-work, rushed in out, seemingly in the ‘dark of the night’ a gargantuan porkulus, that was filled with ‘feel-good’ bacon, and now we are all to be surprised it didn’t work to create jobs! It probably a good thing their handy work included a lot of welfare, food-stamps, unemployment funds and section-8 housing grants, because their constituents are going to need them. This is a picture of the 1960s, Lyndon Johnson ‘Great Society’ and the 1977 Jimmy Carter ‘Community Reinvestment Act’ all rolled into one big boondoggle. The stimulus package was a feel-good, do-gooder of legislation that should be renamed – ‘How to put people on welfare and make them government dependants for life, and vote Democrat Act of 2009,’ because that was what it was folks, pure and simple. The Democrats have shown their true colors on this one. I’m also wondering if those Republicans ‘in name only,’ the so-called moderates who helped the Democrats shovel this piece of dung through the Congress are happy today.

Charles Krauthammer: 'The Stimulus I - A Trillion Dollar Mulligan

Now, rumblings of Stimulus II are being floated. They’ve barely got 10% of their so-called fix out the door, which represents about $81 billion, and now they want to start all over creating more debt. What kind of stuff are they puffing on down in Washington? This is truly remarkable. I cannot begin to understand the mindset of liberals. They are just wired bassackwards for some reason. They must be listening to their kook supporters out in the fringes of never-never-land. Folks, this is all why every election matters. People in Minnesota take note. It matters who you elect to lead you. It matters on who they hang around with, what their reputations and past history are. It matters that they have records all mottled with spending recklessly your hard-earned time. It matters that they are spending our kids’ futures, and jeopardizing the country with massive debts to foreign countries. Let this be a lesson, we don’t need more taxes and energy costs through ‘Cap and Trade’; and we don’t need a boondoggle of healthcare reform. We need sensible solutions that are known to work and are affordable way before they are put into legislation.

Write, call or shout, but let your Congressional leaders and the President know that spending more is not working, will not work and a different approach is needed from Washington. The answer is not more spending, which equals more taxation, which equals more government control over your lives. The answer doesn’t exist in hoping for that big-breakthrough energy technology that might just be around the corner. The answer is not in more convoluted, unreadable and incomprehensible legislation on Cap and Trade. This is the so-called answer to global climate change that is not clear exists, and is not clear would ever reduce greenhouse gasses anyway and appears to be a money grabbing scheme by certain individuals and groups to redistribute wealth, mostly to them. The answer lies in doing the fundamentals that have made our country great. Being responsible, taking care of the people’s business in a businesslike manner, and spending the least amount of our money as possible and unleashing the power and inventiveness and resourcefulness of the people and businesses alike. The best thing government can do, is all of these things, then get out of the way and watch as the wheels of progress begin to turn again.

Its time to take off the gloves!

'I Still Hate You, Sarah Palin' an article at National Review online, written by David Kahane, appears July 7, 2009. This article is written from the voice of a liberal. It brings home a succinct point that conservatives need to grow a backbone. In his speech, he makes the point that we are in a counter-revolution, and in order to combat what is happening, we need to take serious the severity of the problem we face. Listen to Jeff's speech, and see how this all fits together.

Jeff Williams Speech

What the economy really needs!

All over the world things, institutions, people, and economies seem to be in upheaval. In our country, our economy is in a mess, our President and administration have said they ‘misread’ the economy, but won’t admit they have administered the wrong medicine to the problem. The Obama Administration by spending more money to try and fix the country’s economic woes simply seems to have been like gasoline thrown onto a fire. They have put the country into more debt, more than at any time in history, yet seem to always imply over-spending was the Bush Administration’s problem. By blaming the Bush Administration for the current economic woes, just what policy of his was the problem? Was it his tax cuts or was it his spending, or maybe was it his ‘war on terror?’ The Obama Administration doesn’t offer any explanation, other than to imply they inherited the worst economy since The Great Depression. And now, Vice President Biden has made a startling admission, he says the administration ‘misread’ the economy, yet what Biden should have said was, ‘we not only misdiagnosed the problem, we also applied the wrong fixes’ by trying to spend our way into prosperity.

If spending were the answer, would not the Bush Administration and Congress have already gone a long way towards fixing our ills? They imply that the Bush Administration’s policies are what caused the recession, yet offer no compelling reasons for that theory. It is my understanding the President George W. Bush sought the TARP spending as a fix to the diagnosed credit blockage as the main culprit in our economy. He did so at the beckoning of people in his own economic hierarchy, people from the opposing camps, and just about everyone seemingly that was a so-called expert on the problem. No one seemed to be listening to the people, who overwhelmingly said ‘don’t do it; don’t do TARP or any other policy that would spend money we don’t have. The people seemed to have sensed, if spending money was the problem with the economy, we would probably be well on our way to prosperity, yet somehow or another that seemed to be the only recommended fix that came out of everyone’s mouth, including both political candidates (Obama and McCain) at the time. Even now, General Colin Powell, a Republican, who announced he was backing the candidate Obama, who was well known to be a tax and spend liberal, seems to be calling for a go-slow throttle on the spending.

Everyone seems to have a different take on the economy; polls indicate that Democrats think the economy is getting better, while Republicans all say it’s in the dump. While almost every economic indicator points to an economy that is getting worse, about half the people in the country, along with this administration, think we are headed in the right direction with government spending. Many think the answer is more government spending. Yet, unemployment is getting worse, and people all over fear for their jobs. Company earnings are sliding, and there seems to be no end in sight. And now, there is talk of Stimulus II being in the works. At a time when just possibly the people may have the correct analysis of the country’s ills (too much spending and debt) another boondoggle is being cooked up in the kitchen.

On this past April 15th and again on the 4th of July weekend, thousands of Americans, Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, Independents and people of all political stripes, mostly conservative, have joined in Tea Parties to protest the current direction of government. Most agree, spending money and going into more debt is not the answer, yet the boat seems to be speeding in this direction.

History has said that spurring an economy by cutting taxes and cutting government spending does and will spur the economy, yet these types of free-market solutions have been demonized by the left so much in the past, they cannot now put them into practice. It almost seems as if the Obama Administration wants a deeper recession to gain approval from the masses for deeper government controls. You have to ask yourself the question, why not do the activity that would most likely fix the economy; after all we are going in opposing directions than most of the other western countries. They are turning to more conservative principles, while we are continuing to practice all the old fashioned, big government, left-wing and socialist antics to try and fix an ailing economy. How about a little common sense, when you are digging a hole – stop digging. Just a little belief in the people and their sense of what to do might just be the answer to our problems.

What we need in Washington is a little common sense, and a little of what people have always known, when times are tough, cut back. A little of what Presidents John F. Kennedy and Ronald W. Reagan did would also help, cut taxes. And while you’re at it, simplify the tax code, cut the size of government, spend less and also give the people hope that their system works better than any other in the world.

Gov. Sarah Palin's Shocking Announcement

Several interesting political events have just occurred this 4th of July, 2009. First, we celebrated the 233rd birthday of America, and that is something to celebrate. At the same time, Americans are finding their voice, and opposing the direction the country is currently trending. Tea Parties all over America have drawn thousands in protest to bigger government, higher taxes and illogical decisions made in Washington. Yet with all our problems, America is, and remains, a wonderful country. She is full of energetic and free people, working each day to fulfill their hopes and dreams, but at the same time, people see as slipping away through high taxes and growth in government power. Secondly, a confusing, but very interesting political announcement was just made by Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska. Many people and commentators have ruled her decision as a mistake, one that she will regret if she is to move to a higher calling. I’m not so sure the pundits are right about this one. Many detractors are trying to pin her decision on some sinister reason or scandal, but I believe her at her word – I believe she has called an audible, and will do what everyone has expected her to do, run for President in 2012.

Her task ahead is going to be difficult, but if you believe in Sarah Palin, you have to believe that she has the guts and fortitude to do this. If you are watching the political trends in America, then you already know the number of people who consider themselves conservative far outnumber the opposite viewpoint. People have left both the Democrat and Republican parties for many reasons, and more people are now calling themselves independent than at any other time in history. The country seemingly turned left at the last election, and they did briefly, but not intentionally. They wanted change, but unfortunately bought into rhetoric and got something they didn’t intend. The country’s economic woes helped sway them along, but the medicine currently being spoon fed to the nation’s problems right now is hurting the patient. The patient is suffering more pain due to the medicine, but the patient continues to get sicker, and the worst is yet to come. If the current trends continue, the patient is in serious circumstances and probably won’t pull through. America cannot endure the debt that is being unloaded on this and future generations. The ponzi scheme must end.

Americans are starting to sense this problem, and hopefully it won’t be too late by the end of the current presidential term to correct our problems, which are many. I believe Sarah Palin senses the problem, gets it and wants to do something about it. Sarah Palin, in the end will represent the only person with the correct ideology, thought processes and ability to take America back from the brink of where she is headed. Oh, she is hated by a good portion of the left, because she represents a threat to them. Firstly, she is a conservative woman, with a belief in the right to life, and this alone is the one lightning rod that brings her so much hate from the left. Secondly, Sarah Palin, in my estimation has the ‘right stuff’ in her bag of goodies – the belief that America is good and represents good in the world, that America needs to instill some basic can-do, self initiative back into the individual and not try and redistribute wealth amongst the players, but make the ground rules fair for the players. America has the natural resources, talent and system (if not dismantled in the current trend), to remain a strong and prosperous country. America is the one and only country that offer its citizens the opportunity to become what they can be, and to be able to live a free and productive life.

Hopefully, it won’t detract from her chances to bring about changes that are truly needed in America, especially changes that have eroded away the founders dream for America.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://rewindamerica.blogspot.com/2009/07/gov-sarah-palins-shocking-announcement.html' title='Gov. When he first appeared, some of us knew he had a negative affect on us, then as time went by more and more became aware of his negative behavior. The polls are beginning to turn, now more people know him for what he is, but still no matter what some will still be swayed by his control.

Peculiar Potions is much like the 'socialism' being spread about by the current administration. In fact, in Glenn Beck's book, there is a chapter entitled 'Money: The Real Opiate of the Masses,' where he could of easily made the comparison to catnip. You may become addicted, but what happens when the system that provides the 'potion' collapses?

Note: I have tried not rob the thunder from two good writers, who have made 'The Obama Affect' a subject of their comments. My focus in this piece is how much this 'affect' is like catnip. I have often asked myself the question, is this rancor necessary in a republic to win the hearts and minds of decision makers, whether they be political figures or voters? And I guess I have come to say yes, we are a democratic country that operates as a republic, so it has come that the louder the voice the more you are heard, or is this the case?

In America we have made a sport out of political discourse, and of course there have been times in our own country and other democracies that this has become a contact sport or even torn in violence. I would say in most instances, except for the violence, the discourse helps to settle the dust on issues for some people, but others it has a tendency to turn them off and ignore the issues. For me, it’s the earlier version of the conversation, but for my wife it’s the latter. She tends to turn off, and I tend to turn up my emotions towards the discussion. I of course like it to see it remain a discussion and not a shouting match, which sometimes happens of course, politics sometimes is a rough sport.

I’ve seen some who refer to the Fox News Channel as the Faux Noise Channel, and I suppose this refers to the opinion they do not like the level of discourse on the talking shows. I also believe this attitude comes from their feeling they do not agree with one or more of the participants of the discussion, or maybe their side of the issue is losing or has even won the day in the discussion. I happen to believe that Fox News represents one of the more, to borrow their own cliché, fair and balanced networks. They usually present both sides of an issue, and give opportunity to have the viewer make a choice on issues based on some facts presented during the discussion. My pet peeve is to watch a news show that does not offer two sides, but rather invokes an opinion or an invective to try and sway the viewer. This is probably why I now tend to watch only Fox News.

I have came to the conclusion that the main stream media has picked a side, and hones their news reports to give that side an advantage. Some will say that Fox merely does this on the conservative side. Well, guess what folks, if a network presents both sides, then appears to be slanted because of that, then stop and think about the one-sided, MSM that presents only one side every hour, every day (just think about the ABC Special on Obama's Healthcare Plan - Do you really consider that as objective news?). Do you really think the MSM, being in the pocket for the President of the United States is healthy? We will talk more about the age of propaganda in future blogs, but folks this is 'propaganda' pure and simple, don't slice it any other way.

Over the years I have followed politics and culture, I have seen the rancor very heated at times, over what I call would call somewhat petty, but emotional issues, other times I have seen critical issues discussed only by the partisans and ignored by most of the public. Now I am beginning to see a different discourse, even though it remains volatile. I am beginning to feel that people are just now starting to turn their attention away from the emotional side of politics, and beginning to focus in on the realties. We are playing for keeps, and these issues are beginning to affect whether our republic stays intact. Folks, the realities are all these issues make a big impact on all of our lives, and now are beginning to determine our future as a country. In future blogs I will talk more to the specifics of these decisions. As my hero Ronald Reagan use to say ‘Thanks for listening.’

Inauguration of Rewind America

This blog is about America and people everywhere that love her and want her to continue representing the freest people on earth, wherever they live. All who love America are seeing troubled waters, and are worried that she is facing a storm never known before.

Over the years I've seen all the political correctness change our behavior, mostly to our own detriments. We accepted the progressivism, the changes in our cultural, the deterioration of the educational system and the growth of government, in the name of progress. We haven't wanted to speak out because we think it would be stodggy of us to try and stop what is happening. We have tried to tell our kids not to do certain things, and not let peer-pressure influence their behavior, all along letting that same peer pressure influence our own behavior into accepting something less of ourselves and our country. Now things are beginning to snowball, and the results of our thinking and our actions are beginning to affect us and our country in a truly negative way.

There has been times that I've heard about or seen misguided people going about their business, making statements, and doing things that truly are distructive to the foundations of our country. Now, being a good person, with old fashioned values and loving a country in an old fashioned, patriotric way are suddenly bad things, deplored by certain people in society. Whatever happended to us? This blog will discuss these things, and hopefully all of us can start, in our own individual ways to return our country to the values we all love and cherish.

In this blog I will write my own thoughts about what is happening, and try and offer my judgement of what it is we can start doing to reverse the course we are on. Of course this is all a personal opinion, and a political vision, but it is mine and it's my effort to make a positive change in America.
